Anny’s Fine Burgers- Kearny Mesa

Ok, I bet y’all are sick of hearing this by now, but I love burgers. They are my favorite food. Fancy burgers, sloppy burgers, traditional, you name it. In the words of Ash Ketchum, I have got to catch them all. Or try them all. Wait, did anyone else know his last name was Ketchum? I did not. I had to google it. That’s a little on the nose for ya, but it is a cartoon. (For those of you who do not know what I mean… I am referring to Pokemon.) Anywho… back to the burgers. So a good portion of the ORIGINAL list included quite a few of Ian’s favorites burger joints. One that we didn’t scratch off until recently is Anny’s Fine Burgers in Santee. Well, lucky for us, they opened up a second (and closer) location in Kearny Mesa. So, while we were up in Miramar shopping for couches, we decided to give it a try!

Don’t let the name fool you, Anny’s Fine Burgers makes a mean, down to earth burger. They also make plenty of other delicious things to try. Anny’s is a no frill, chill burger joint. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Don’t get overwhelmed by the menu though! The choices are wide! I got the Californian burger. A giant beef burger topped with bacon, Swiss cheese, avocado, LTO, and Thousand Island. Messy, juicy, and tasty. I will say, I could have used more avocado, but other than that it was delicious! Ian got the hangover burger. Topped with Swiss and cheddar cheese, chips, bacon, and a fried egg. Huge and full of flavor! The chips added a nice crunch and texture. On the side, we got waffle fries and the thin onion rings. The waffle fries were crispy and perfectly flavorful. The thin onion rings were very unique. Picture a funnel cake meets a Bloomin’ Onion.

We left super stuffed for a very reasonable price. There is also a good beer and milkshake selection. Both locations are great (per Ian). Now we got to check another thing off our list. Let us know if you have any burger recommendations for us! We love checking out new spots!
